Gordes is one of the “in” villages of Luberon where many movies stars and artists have made their home.
Its houses of white and gray stone rise up in a spiral around the rock where the village is set.
At the very top is the church and the castle which face out onto the hills of the Luberon.

Roussillon
Situated in the Luberon, at the foot of the Monts de Vaucluse, the village of Roussillon is surrounded by beautiful countryside. It is considered one of the most impressive villages in France.
Situated in the heart of one of the biggest ocher deposits in the world, Roussillon is famous for its magnificent red cliffs and ocher quarries.
Lacoste
The village and its winding streets with stone houses.

Where one of the world’s most extraordinary resurgences gushes forth. Nature’s own mystery, the underground spring can be a surging fury or a placid lake, depending on the season.

Arles The Arenas and Theatre Antique
Pop down to the interesting Théâtre Antique an outdoor Roman style semi circle theatre that sat 12,000 people. Emperor Augustus built it at the end of the first century BC. It was later used as a quarry, so much of what you see today is in ruins, but it is still used for outdoor performances.
Nîmes
Considered as the french rome, Nîmes has a rich history, dating back to the Roman Empire.
The elliptical Roman amphitheatre, of the 1st or 2nd century AD, is the best-preserved Roman arena in France. It was filled with medieval housing, when its walls served as ramparts, but they were cleared under Napoleon.
It is still used today as a bull fighting and concert arena.
The Pont du Gard for your lunch stop is located in the heart of a beautiful region, is one of the very special highlights.
This engineering feat, built by the Romans in the 1st century BC, was part of a 50-meter long aqueduct which carried waters from Uzès to Nîmes.
